I just came from Wal-Mart,bi had no choice but to go there for a few things. There's big blue markers everywhere on the floor telling people to stay six feet away, and they are placed every six feet for those who don't know how far that is.
People were all up on me and wife, especially at the checkout line. They don't care, and aren't taking it seriously, and although I posted this elsewhere, now the slobs are just throwing their nasty rubber gloves down on the ground and leaving them there instead of putting them in the trash. I can't believe what kind of idiots we have in this world, i thought I knew before but now I'm seeing the pathetic truth.

Thank you for staying in, except to get necessities. It is indeed quite pathetic. These people either don't understand; don't care to understand; or just simply don't care.

I really don't even want to leave the house, but have to to eat. I'm broke and disabled, so we don't go out to much to begin with, so it's not too big of a change for me, but people need to use common sense and just deal with it and they aren't.

Please, smarten up, people. I give a personal thank you to everyone trying to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This video was posted March 23rd, and everything to this stage Dr. Vuong points out has happened, so take what he says to heart and protect your family, your friends, yourself and your fellow human.

I’m diabetic. Diabetics have a near 10% mortality rate if they get it. I don’t go anywhere, but I still have to go food shopping. I do it as safely as possible.

We are too,so I know exactly what you mean. I got sick back in January and it was the worst sickness I've ever had, and lasted till just the begining of March. I don't think I had the Corona Virus as I had no fever, but man it was scary.

I didn't know there was censorship on civicX.com.
Yesterday, I write a post in wich I said that the
President would be satisfied to have 100 000 dead
( he said himself on T.V. ) and I though it was
deplorable ...etc..
Today, the post has disappeared.
In addition to the pandemic, would democraty
be in danger ?
Maybe this post will disappear to ?

For anyone that hasn't yet: :https://www.civicx.com/threads/civicx-forum-rules-and-user-agreement.3538/

Rules include but are not limited to: "Certain topics are prohibited are on the forums. These include politics, religion, pornography, or other sexually explicit material."

Most all Covid-19 discussions are somewhat political but a line has to be drawn somewhere. I don't see anything helpful coming out of a negative statement regarding the leader of another country.

The flu causes hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations every year in the US. How is the current virus a problem for health care? Because they put everyone in intensive care and treat it like anthrax. It's all a manufactured crisis.

Can't tell if serious. If so: no, it's most definitely not a "manufactured crisis". Check out the situation in NYC or New Orleans hospitals (or a dozen other places). These patients need help, they must be separated from the non-infected, and there simply aren't enough beds. To be clear: they're not actually putting everyone in intensive care, but if they're showing signs of pneumonia - then they have to. Full stop. Condition can rapidly devolve to ARDS, and then the patient must be put on a ventilator. Otherwise, they're almost certainly going to die.

This isn't an apocalyptic scenario, but it's certainly a legitimate crisis. Which is going to get quite a bit worse before it gets better.

There is definitely a tendency to put everyone on ventilators, because of the fear of infection. If you get in a hospital someone testing positive and actively coughing, you want them sedated.

".....These “non-invasive” methods of ventilation can include masks and oxygen tanks.

Story says that with Covid-19, medical staff were looking to avoid non-invasive methods because patients would still cough and splutter, increasing the risk of the virus being transferred to medical staff." [The Guardian]

The question is, what fraction of usually older and sick people who are put on ventilators, are actually saved and survive. I'm afraid there is a number who die under ventilation who might have survived without intensive care. A lot of older people die of pneumonia in hospitals every day without any Chinese virus. It is actually one of the leading causes of death.

Here's the thing. Yes, this is a virus. The flu is a virus so there are similarities. Where things differ is that COVID-19 has an expotentially higher death rate. That certainly is frightening and a real not "manufactured" health crisis.

Also, coronavirus is brand new to humanity. We have no immunity to it. The flu in it’s many different forms, has been around forever. We have some degree of immunity to it, and we have vaccinations for it.
