Please be sure to:
- wash your hands frequently
- not attend public or family gatherings
- only go out/interact with people when necessary
- keep a distance of 6-feet from others
- cough and sneeze into your arm or shoulder, not into the air or onto surfaces others may touch
- only buy a little more than what you need - panic buying/hoarding hurts others' wellbeing and does not improve your own

At the given rate of growth, the USA will be the #1 worst country for COVID cases. I don't have time to update all the stats this moment, but I want to point out that the USA has almost 6,000 more active cases than Italy as of right now. Please follow the proper protocol set forth world wide to slow the transmission and spread of COVID-19. At the rate the USA is going, they will far outnumber China's numbers.

As best I can tell, no one is doing anything at all. LOL.

3,700 people are killed every day in automobiles around the world.
11days of tracking here X 3,700 = 40,700 automobile deaths in just the past 11days.
That is a constant. Just as the Regular flu kills 300K-650K around the world annually.
COVID19 has a long way to go to keep pace with just those numbers alone.

What the response has done with regard to COVID19 is “distance” people further from one another increasingly more than what previously existed.
Now back to the video games, social distancing, and hoarding.

Car crashes aren't overrunning hospitals right now. Covid is taking up all the ICU space and all the ventilators. This means we can't take care of anyone else

Fall and get a head bleed? Sorry... Covid. Cardiac arrest? No vent or bed, covid. End stage renal disease leading to hypercarbic respiratory failure? Too bad, all the vents are in covid patients

Yes other things have killed more, but nothing is using up our resources as quickly

Well, that's a big slice of ignorance, sorry to say. USA just beat Italy in the ranks of the worst COVID-19 outbreak.

In the 1300s (I will add it's even before that, but this is what people know most), Asia (believed to have began in Mongolia, based on records) was the spawn of another little charm we know as BUBONIC PLAGUE. If you look at all the plague outbreaks from the 1300s to the 1800s, you'll see how even smaller numbers of deaths over years add up to huge numbers.

The plague killed half the world's population while people were ignorant. Even doctors wore those ridiculous Gonzo masks with the nose filled with herbs and useless garbage, believing it would filter out the disease and most of those doctors died, too. lol.

Now, we have the knowledge now to understand disease, yet still, there are people who will not take COVID-19 seriously, given all the recorded history we've seen with the Black Death for centuries. We have only been infected for ~6-months that we know of and we already have literally half-a-million people in the world who have been infected with COVID-19. That's with all our knowledge, alarms bells, food, health, quarantines, etc. If people continue to be ignorant and selfish, we will not be able to stop this.

Right now, in Canada, if you're a traveller and knowingly infect someone because you refused to isolate yourself, you can be fined $750,000 and be put in jail (I presume that's when and if you recover). It's a fine up to $1,000,000 and jail time if you kill someone from COVID-19 transmission if you broke the quarantine.

People just keep ignoring the issue and pretend everything is okay like life is a fairytale. It's not. It's full of pain, death and despair. Wake up already - it's not okay.

I wish you didn't do that. I purposely didn't post it so people would hopefully talk and encourage one another to stop the spread. ;)
sorry, didn’t know that. But it’s good to see how are the other countries doing with the different mesures. See, for example, what was done in S. Korea and Japan and see the results. I live in Portugal and it’s everything closed for the last 15 days. For me the Spanish flu of 1918 is a big lesson and I was shocked listening Donald trump some weeks ago, but now I think USA is in right way

USA now leading in the number of cases now.

People comparing this to car accident and regular flu. Have you seen the hospital overload in New York recently?? The regular flu and car accident don't even come close.

If you don't want to listen to me then listen to the experts.

My brother just told me my niece, his daughter, had it. I’m in south Florida and they’re both in north Florida. Still though, that’s close to home. He said she’s over it at this point and didn’t want to tell us about it. I posted in another thread that last week we had to bury my mom, and the funeral home wouldn’t let us have a funeral for her.......so we had a small family only get together at the cemetery. He didn’t want to add to the stress of the day. His daughter didn’t come of course.

No worries. I wish everyone would pay attention to historic illnesses and learn from it. Thank you for being aware and conscientious.

They soared to the top yesterday with 17,224 new cases.

Heartbreaking - and I'm a tin man. Thank you for sharing. I hope it helps people realize the situation is not okay.
