So when i bought my coupe sport at the begining of this year, one of the things i wasn't a fan of was the hard black door panel insert. i knew the Si had black fabric with red stitching as an upgrade.. so i bought a pair of junkyard Si door panels, with the intention of swapping them out, however after recieving them i discovered at least the 2020 coupe touring received a black leather insert. I remember looking them up, new that panel was going for around $350 from dealerships. too much to just drop 600 dollars on door panels. i just checked again ( late december 2020 now ) and im sure its a combination of this pandemic and the fact the coupes are discontinued, but the price of a single door panel now is over $800 Each. :( my pipe dream of getting those leather door panels are drifting away. unless someone wants to swap :p

a bit yea, ive just had bad experiences when dealing with professionals and my car, things that were fine before usually end up damaged in the process

technically it is, its held in place by plastic welded pieces and clips, with a few bolts.. no idea why the triple use method was used but I'm not an engineer or cost savings specialist. i wouldn't be opposed to taking it out and wrapping it myself, but the curved edges and sharp angles worry me with my lack of skillset with fabric / leather based projects. This picture is from a set of ebay Si door panels i picked up a few months ago, still a bit indecisive which design i wanna go with on em -i still prefer leather panels.
