1,250 miles and there is a coolant leak at the front of the engine. Looks like it might be the o-ring for the coolant pipe? I know it’s under warranty, but have worked with Honda for 20 years, several new cars, old cars and built cars. Sort of surprised I guess. It’s squirting onto the turbo and head, so you can smell it once it gets hot. Don’t really want someone else to work on it, but it’s got to get fixed.

I added some pictures. Based on the spray pattern and experience I am guessing it’s the o-ring on the gold colored coolant pipe.

Dealership did a pressure test and found a hose clamp cracked. When they went to remove the clamp it broke. Hose clamp replaced and no further issue. There’s more to the story, but this is the important information that concerns my post.

Anyway you can snap a pic so we can keep a eye on our cars?

Thanks!

Hmm... This, coupled with the reports that some, few, people are having cooling issues on shorter tracks... wonder what's up.

You will smell it once everything gets hot after a drive.

I took mine to the dealer for the fix. Mine was windshield whipper fluid. I will be watching it to see if it leaks any more.

Did they perform a repair or just tell you to keep an eye on it?

Had my whiper fluid line replaced because the line leading to the rear whiper had broke and leaked all over my carpet so they had to replace my whole carpet as well as well my coolant line, all they did was replaced the tube and clamp and it fixed the problem.

I can smell coolant with mine as well. Have not popped the hood to check it out yet. It is on my list of things to do. Maybe the blue fluid smells like coolant?
Honda coolant is blue, so if it smells like coolant, it’s coolant. Windshield washer fluid would smell less, if at all.

Well, it is on my list of things to look at tomorrow. Hopefully it isn't anything major.

I've got the same leak - 50 miles, taking mine in right now to get serviced.

Also had this problem. Only had 250 km. on the car. Stealership did a leak test and replaced a lower rad hose clamp. Have put on another 200 km. or so since service and no more signs of pissing coolant.

I just took mine in today with 6,400 miles, and thought it was leaking at the top radiator hose where it connects to the thermostat; ended up being a coolant bypass hose and ordered it. It will be in tomorrow and the leak was very minor with no overheating... just the smell of antifreeze and a sprinkling of it on the front of the engine, underside of the hood and top of radiator support. Coolant tank was a little low with this leak obviously.
