Console Illumination Accessory

Hey guys,

I saw the pictures of the console illumination accessory on Honda's website, and I thought it looked cool. They may also prove useful at night if I need to fumble with the 1.5A USB port.

Does anyone have pics of the set IRL at night? How bright is it? Does it look ridiculous in daytime?

Dealer is charging almost $400 installed, so I want to make sure it isn't garbage.

Doesn't provide any illumination to the cubby area below. It's just for show. And to light up your pants a little.

There's already some illumination for the area where the usb port is, and where they want you to keep your phone in front of the shifter. The console illumination really only adds a little area that's like a 'highlight' in the interior trim.

The "interior illumination" for the footwell seems like it'd be useful, and it isn't super bright like kits you can get on ebay/amazon.

I posted a pic here that may help. In the daytime, you won't really notice the LED Stripe. I really like it at night. It's all subtle, but nice:
