I just recently installed component speakers in my 2017 honda civic exl, with 5 channel amp, sub, amp bypass - all that. Music comes through the speakers, but I'm not getting any phone audio, ring tone or anything to do with sound from a phone call. I can make and receive them, but I cannot hear anything.

I'm not sure if I would need to use the original adapter to the factory speakers, or why this would be an issue.

Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Does BT Audio work?

Probably one of the following reasons
  • Nothing to do with your install. Your HU just messed up. Do a factory data reset and re-pair your phone
  • You didn't feed the front speakers to the amp. I think the phone audio comes out of the front only.

I did a factory reset on the HU and repaired the BT with my phone. No such luck.

Are you referring to the amp bypass for the front speakers?
I'll have to take a look.

The amp bypass. Any chance you connected the rears (not the fronts) from the HU to the amp? But I think it would probably sound really bad if you did tho. So probably not that.

I'm pretty sure I had connected all 4 - front and back.

OK. So I just went out to my car to mess around with some things. I changed some of the input plugs in my amp around and now I have it working correctly. I think. But I do have phone audio working now!

Thanks for the input!
