First off, Hi!
New here, been lurking for a while. Will be taking delivery on a 2018 Sedan in a couple of days.
of course I will be doing a few things to it (non sexual..).

So to the actual thread. I would like to collect as much info as possible about manufacturers and model-fitment in the categories Coilovers/Struts/springs/bag-struts.

To make it easier to read i will take any answers and fill them into this list.
Please reply (if adding to the list) in the following format:

Type (spring / coil) - Manufacturer & Product name - Year - Body - Price (if available) - Extra info.

Example (not accurate):

  • Coilovers - Tein Street Advance Z - 2016 onwards - Sedan - €750 - Includes hardware.
  • Air Struts - D2 (struts only) - 2016 to 2018 - hath - $1650 - Only struts (no comp/tank/man.)

PS. If this is a shit idea, let me know. :D

Given the vastly different price points of the coilover kits, can someone explain the differences between all the choices?

I certainly believe you get what you pay for, but in this case I don’t know what exactly that would be.

I would like to think that the company that did the original R&D for the struts would have a higher pricepoint. Some companies just copy a produkt and pump out cheap versions.
Also consistency of materials / material choice would play a big part in pricing.
And of course country of manufacturing.
To be honest i think some big brand coilovers are just priced with a lower margin to increase sales / market proportions!

Those are my four guesses :)

Hi...
tein endropro or koni yellow shocks? still no news for the koni?
Tedan shocks are listed for sedan, si and typer. I couldn't find any information about compatibility with 2017 honda civic hatcback sport (fk7).

I think of the Eibach Pro kit or H & R as a spring. or si rear swing bar and springs are also among my options

Are the tein shocks hatcback listed for the sedan 4 doors suitable?
Is there anyone who can provide precise information or advice?

Reached out to Tein about hatchback fitment this morning:

Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension
products. At this time we do not offer EnduraPro/EnduraPro Plus shocks
for the Civic Sport Hatchback. We recently released the STREET BASIS Z
kit for the Civic and we will be releasing the FLEX Z kit at the end of
March early April.

@Bennybira time to update the post :D

@vonlaser and @vethekim mentioned the Tein coilover kit
as @Zodd mentioned tech specs, we could compile a spreadsheet of useful information (FAQ)

Also gotta add swift and spoon springs to the list and KW suspension coilovers
