Codes popping, dealer says I need a $2500 timing chain replacement

But then he said the lights dont come back until second drive cycle. an open in cam circuit should make code permanent and pop up right away. it appears the cmp-A 3 circuit wires go directly to pcm, so theres no grounds to check on that circuit. id say start with replacing that cam sensor

I get good connectivity between the battery ground and the chassis.

Is the following correct for the location of Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' ?
