I installed a rear sway bar about 2-3 weeks ago and just yesterday I started hearing a clunking sound in the right rear whenever I hit even the smallest bump whenever I make a left turn even at very low speeds. My suspicion is either there isn't enough lube on the bar (which I applied plenty) or something wrong with the endlinks (I used the stock ones) nothing looks broken, but I haven't gotten the chance to jack the car up and look under it properly. Just wondering if there are any other possible diagnoses.

I upgraded my rear sway bar a few weeks ago and I had a clunking sound too. It seemed like I didn't tighten down some of the nuts and bolts enough, so I went through and retorqued everything down to factory spec. No more clunking.

Here are the torque specs if you need them.

It’s always things are not tight enough. You need to jack the car up again and retighten. The end link bolts are tricky cause you need to hold it tight from one side so it doesn’t spin when you try to tighten from the other end. There are multiple threads on this.

Had the same issue! Answer was )as the fellow gents have explained) the rear right side endlink. It was not tight enough!
Have not heard it ever since!

Endlink was on there so tight it wasn't coming off. After completely finishing up and cleaning up and everything I thought maybe the sound could be a tie rod? how possible is that?

Which Swaybar and endlinks are you using? I had the same problem and it wasn't because the endlinks were lose. People were suggesting to use the more aggressive hole in the sway bar if you have that.

Eibach sway bar and stock endlinks. It’s on the most aggressive hole

I would like to know when you get this resolved too. I had taken mines off and put on an OEM Si rear sway bar. Would rather prefer my Eibach bar.

I might take it in and see what they see honestly cuz I don’t really have time to play with it on my own but I’ll lyk what they see

When I took it into the shop, all they did was tighten the endlinks and that didn't solve my problem. LOL. Good luck, hope your shop finds the issue.

Maybe adjustable endlinks then, but if not then I’m unsure

Don't use the stock civic plastic endlinks. Get the oem accord endlinks made of aluminum. And yes, torque to spec or tighter. Part# 52320-TLB-A0

They told me it wasn't lubed enough but they wouldn't do it since it was an aftermarket part

It's always the end links.
Now I'm motivated enough to go out and do a tire rotation and re-tighten my
own damn end links.
