I have a low mile, 2500, 2019 CTR. I have noticed when I downshift, primarily, that I can feel and hear a clunk from low in the engine area. The clutch pedal is all the way to the floor, and it is usually noticed when coming to a stop (car is quiet and no bumping from the road). I have no problem shifting, it just makes a noticeable clunk when you shift. It usually won't repeat when you change gears again. It feels as if the entire transmission moves 1/4". It doesn't happen every time you shift, occasionally at most.
Just curious if anyone thinks it warrants an inspection or if this transmission does that normally.
Thanks!

My car has clunked when I shift like every day I drove it. I'm going to assume it's normal. It's intermittent, not constant. Sometimes a shift is a crunch, other times a snik, and other times a THUNK.

Funny. It’s not at a level that really bothers me, it’s just that I notice it when it does it. Just makes me wonder if something is wrong. Actual movement of shift lever is always normal though. The “fun-ness” of the car outweighs the clunk for sure!

LOL that's one of the best manual transmission in the business for ya, as many car reviewers claimed.

If anything, it's on the noisier side. The best is subjective. In my opinion, I've been driving manual for 12 years, 4 cars, and I don't think it's the best.

It's a result of how the shifter is designed. I like the clunk sound because I know it went into gear.
