So every time I go to the local grocery and press on the key FOB to open the trunk to put stuff in, as soon as I close the trunk the alarm always goes off. Is there a setting for this to be off?

did you happen to get a dealer installed alarm/shock sensor when you purchased your civic? if so it maybe the shock sensor triggering the alarm.

to avoid alarm going off when you use your trunk is to unlock your car first then open trunk.
