I pressure wash engine bays all the time at Honda. My technique was:

1. Spray some special cleaner (apc) in the engine bay while standing in front of the engine bay and both the left and right 90° of the engine bay.
2. Then pressure wash the engine bay from those three same spots (front and right and left 90° degree of engine bay)
3. Dry with microfiber towel and compressed air.

The idea is you can see new hidden area when you stand from the side of engine bay. And don't be scared to soak the engine bay, it's waterproof (as long as you dry the area where water pools up with compressed air)

I even forgot about this thread, lol
Guys, I'm not talking about the whole engine bay, just a specific area, see my first post with images, sorry if it wasn't clear, I made just sound like I meant the whole engine bay. For some reason all the dirt, leaves etc just get stuck in there and behind the front fenders

Same thing, point that pressure water gun close to the area you wanna clean and it will be fine.

My Barbie electric toothbrush works best in those areas.
