Uhhh...

I thought you ideally like hatchbacks and lots of cargo area?

I'm thinking for after retirement . . .

Yeah, who sells sporty hatchbacks anymore in the US?

Civic Type R
Toyota GR Corolla
GTI/R

I think that's about it, especially if you want a 6mT.

Beautiful car. $80k for the base 2.0L (360 hp, 3097 lbs). I guess a little more for the supercharged V6 (400 hp, 3207 lbs)? 8 lb/hp weight-to-power ratio for the latter.

At 3121 lbs, a base Type R (no bolt-ons) should be able to closely match the Emira's weight-to-power after tuning with Ktuner and Phearable (354 hp), namely at 8.8 lb/hp. Handling-wise, they drive differently but I think they're both great on twisty roads/tracks. Just throwing out some numbers for comparison as I tend to do when looking at new sports cars.
