According to this article which, from what I can tell, is not click bait, the CTR will be available in Championship White and other colors.
This does not appear to share any other details which we didn't already know although there could be some new pictures in here...

"The prototype on display uses a more premium finely-grained brushed aluminum-effect finish that will not come on the production version. In a Motor1 scoop, we were able to find out that the Civic Type R will come with Type R's trademark Championship White colour, along with several other unique colours."

Is scoop a new buzz word?

Let's hear everyone's colour preferences. I hope to get Red, followed by White or Black if possible! :D

I'd be going for the most flamboyant color - because I can. (Orange SI right now, lol) OR that prototype color.

Anyone else notice that Honda's Championship White color is a little off-white, kinda like the white balance is a little on the warm side. When seeing a CW next to other white cars (like Audi whites), CW looks like the paint has worn and aged due to the off-white tint. Wish CW was more of a pure white color.

Any pic for reference? Where did you see the CW recently?

Probably Red, Grey, and White in that order. But I'll have to see them first though to be sure..

It's going to be especially hard for me to try and see all the colours in person before I need to buy mine :(

Gonna do a matte or satin black wrap so I don't really care on the color...

I'm thinking about leaving the car on fake/ carbon fiber trim alone if it comes with it.

Can't seem to remember where exactly I saw the comparison. But as an example, if you watch the video in the "Hype R or Type R" thread, at around 1:38, you can see the FK2 and the GTR side by side. A lot of white cars are actually slightly off-white on the warm side, compared to say Audi whites.

Probably due to new paint supplier compared to the late 90s championship white. I'm sure the paint code is still the same. As most body shops will say, white is the hardest paint to match.

I would love to see blue and gunmetal colors. Red screams to much IMO.

And I just hope that the seats will be black with red details, instead of red.
They are hard to keep clean! If they'll come in red I will dismount them and send them away to wrap them in leather with R-Type Logo.

They're could be a pair of similar CTRs on here ;)
My plan is to get Red or White, then wrap it prototype "brushed aluminum" as close as possible to it (for protection mostly)

That word probably originated in Japan. It's a Japanese masu-komi (media) word for "exclusive info" or "breaking news".

edit: I don't know WHAT I was thinking when I wrote this.....
