To install that cost 305$ from DealerHey the Type R comes with a wireless charging platform lol
I think I read somewhere that they are building MY17 until DEC. Going with the calendar year unfortunately.I don't understand why Honda is designating this car and Si as 2017 MY when
a) most companies are already selling their new cars as 2018 MY
b) Is 2017 MY only going be produced for 6 months and starting Jan. we get 2018 MY?
c) If you buy a car today as 2018 MY, as far the Resale value is concerned, you got 18 months that counts that car as "Current" year car. But if you buy this Type R now, in 6 months it will be considers as 2017 which they categories it as ONE year old once we go into 2018. And this will devalue the car as a ONE year old car. Even if you get delivery in Dec. as 2017, in one month after that, that car is ONE year old from Resale value point of view.
So, I'm going to wait till 2018 date gets announced.
Any thoughts?

Dealers aren't in a rush to sell them and don't mind holding on to them.that is totally crazy and out of this world. i called up like to all H dealers around the DMV about 12 of them were asking from 10k to 15k over msrp price... i mean why they trying to make so much money out a car that only costs $33,900. what is wrong with this people.

Unless early production problems emerge like they did with the Focus RS.It doesn't matter. Early build Type Rs will hold their value extremely well anyway.
Oh yeah and they will come up. Nothing is perfect. Third year should have most bugs fixed.Unless early production problems emerge like they did with the Focus RS.
But why are you surprised?that is totally crazy and out of this world. i called up like to all H dealers around the DMV about 12 of them were asking from 10k to 15k over msrp price... i mean why they trying to make so much money out a car that only costs $33,900. what is wrong with this people.
I'm waiting for the story of the person who pays $20k ADM, drives it off the lot and gets wrecked by some 18 year old kid not paying attention.I'm telling you these cars will be easy to buy in a 2-3months. Just the look of the car alone has eliminated many buyers.
For me, it would depend on the unit #. I can understand paying a premium for a good production # on the plate. And we all know, the lower the # the higher the premium dealers can probably get!Just got back from the dealership without a type r due to this crazy markup:
