I spoke with a guy who has tinting the CTR and informed me that the wing needs to come off in order to install tint in one piece of film to properly shrink it. Is this true?

Because my other option is to 3 pieces of tint on the back which said no one would notice it,

What should i do?
Thanks

I elected to have him 2 piece it right at the bottom spoiler, I don't want my car tore apart personally....

Mine was cut right where the spoiler starts. And you can’t see it at all. Just had it done.

This was what the person who tinted my windows said and did, if you want it done right and you have an installer that knows what he is doing then remove the wing and window and do it right

Correction you don’t remove the glass just the wing he has a piece of the factory rear glass so he can make the piece the correct size

Hahahahaha that what I told him I was like damn dude your the fucking rock star of window tinting
i can see why the guy i spoke to today who used to work for the dealer hated hatchbacks
i guess 30 years in the tint business he was not smart enough to ask for a template window and he quit

My tint guy was able to get it done with one piece of tint. He didn’t have to remove the spoiler or have an extra piece of glass.

The guy I talked to last week said he'd do one big piece until he got to the spoiler then he'd line a second piece with the defroster on the windshield

so for your hatch window is it missing a piece near the spoiler?

I haven't had it done yet. It would not have any missing pieces. The one large piece and the small piece would be joined together. He said you wouldn't even be able to tell it's two pieces.
