Thanks, makes sense. The more I read the more I think it might not be a big deal and I will be happier with the rims I actually want rather than a second choice that fits better.

How are you enjoying your car? I got mine about a week after yours I think (around Sep 10).
I picked u the car on Sept 10. Car is great, still have under 1000km on it, lowered the car and put wheels on the car the next day lol, PPF, tint all done too

You can use hub centric rings if you choose, but lug centric is fine

You will require aftermarket lug nuts when you put on aftermarket wheels
Not always true, but most of the time it is. There does exist ball seat aftermarket wheels.

@joecang72, what type and size of tires did you go with? Any rubbing?

I am planning to go with Advan AD08R 265/35 with 18x9.5 +44 on stock suspension, do you think there will be any issues?

I am running some Firehawk Indy and they are 265/35/18. Considering how low my car is, the only time it ever rubbed on me was when I had 4 passengers and going through a dip on the road. Otherwise, no rubbing at all

Switched to 18 inch rims 18x8
Monte Titano MT6
235/45/zr18
Continental extreme contact dws 06
Ultra high performance all seasons
I gained half an inch of height and my ride quality is night and day on the crappy streets of NYC.
Ideally, this is a no brainer and should be done on day 1 of having the car, for those living in NYC, looking to save your car's suspension.
My daily drives have become much less stressful.

Tks to Thomson from System motorsports.
Switched from ADVAN TC4 to GT Premium, exact same spec 18 x 9.5 +38 with 255/40/18 tires, stock height

Finally got my wheels and tires mounted and got a chance to wash the car. Super happy with this setup. Completely changes the driving characteristics of the car.
What tire size did you choose ? Looks great

I currently have Ray's 57Transcend 19 x 9.5 +38mm, I was wondering if 255/40/19 will clear on stock suspension without any issues. Still shopping for tires and I'm looking @ the above mentioned tire size or go 255/35/19 or 245/40/19, which one should I go with?

TIA

255s may rub slightly on the rears at full compression but should otherwise be fine. 245s are just too skinny for a 9.5 width wheel.

For reference I have 19x9.5 +42 HREs and they did full compression tests. With 265s they noted slight rubbing issues on the rear fenders but no issues with 255s. Given your higher offset, you may have slight rubbing with 255s but again that will be at full compression.

Thank you for the needed info and quick response.
