Hey guys, I've been lurking for a long time now. I have recently got the guys at Titan 7 considering making Type-R wheels in 18x8.5 ET60 5x120. It can be done. They want to make sure there is plenty of interest to go into full production for these wheels. I believe one production run is 20 wheels (or 20 sets) either way this isn't a lot!

If you got a moment please send them a quick message on their Facebook and show them you got interest and are actually wanting to buy! Don't spam them! Just send a quick message saying you are looking for these wheels and thank them for considering our request.

Why not make them wider? A 9.5 will work at ET60.

Had to source everything from different vendors and went with Storm Grey instead. For the better, my OCD paired with black wheels on a daily driver would have been deemed a mistake before the weeks end I'm sure.

Installed:
-Enkei TS-V 18x9.5 +40 Storm Grey wheels
-Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 255/40/18 tires
-Akebono ASP1001 front ceramic pads
-Akebono ACT1878 rear ceramic pads

Great setup! And perfect fitment. Car looks great! OE springs?

I got my 2018 CTR this week with only 2000 miles. Looking at the Motegi MR147 in 18x9.5 +45 with a 255/40 on stock suspension. I’ve seen some of the photos in here and wanted to make sure it won’t rub before ordering. It seems like +45 offset should be fine. Also, is there anyway to make sure they clear the stock Brembos in the front?

the 255/40/18 with +45 offset will be fine. No rubbing with my 255/40/18 18x9.5 +40 setup

Appreciate the feedback. I plan on running A/S tires for the most part since it’s my DD. Would 265/35 be better? I’ve heard that in wet conditions the 265 hydroplanes quite a bit more.

All what YOU want based on looks.

IMO, with those wheel specs and your're staying with stock suspension do 255/40. If you're going to lower it go with the 265/35

A 245/40R18 gives you virtually the identical diameter, so the speedo is not affected by the change. If that matters to you.

A 275/35R18 also gives the same diameter BTW.

Stock:
245/30/20 25.8"

245/40/18 25.7"
255/40/18 26"
265/35/18 25.3"
275/35/18 25.6"

great tool to compare and contrast tire diameters, wheel offsets, width, etc... :

I just got Motegi MR145s same size/offset and went with 265/35. While I like the width I think I should have gone with 255/40 to add a little extra meat to the wheel wells since I won’t be lowering as this is my DD now.
