Stock height you'll be fine with 255/40, you would probably rub lowered with that setup though.

Thanks for the quick reply! I originally ordered +45s but System Motorsports where I ordered them is sold out and offered +38s instead. So the tires I had planned were Nitto Motivo 255/40/18. They seemed like they were pretty decently priced, well reviewed, and good for most street driving situations. I wonder if I should just go down to the 265/35s? I don't currently plan to lower the car but don't want a ton of wheel gap either.

If you have no plans to lower it I'd go 255/40, tbh. It will be closer to correct for your speedo and will fill the wheel arches a little better. I think there are people running 255/40 on stock springs in this thread but don't have time to dig through it.

I got them on! It's a little muggy and the car is dirty but here it is! 18x9.5 +38 te37sl Nitto Motivo 255/40/18 and they fit great. No rub thus far on stock suspension. Also, thanks to Civicx forum I got the spare kit and installed it. Woo things are coming along

Based on what i've read so far, this setup will rub because of the +42 offset and wider tread width. If offset was +45 this might not rub. Again, might.
255 with +42 will not rub. This is the widest you can go on stock suspension with no rubbing. HRE tested to full compression with this setup.

I don’t rub at all under full compression with stock suspension with 265/35 on 9.5 wide et40.

In fact with stock suspension some are doing 265s on et38 and no rubbing.

All 18 inch.

Sorry I didn't clarify, that's with 255/35s on 19s not 18s.

Oh yea sorry 255 with +42 wont rub, but 265 with +42 will actually rub if tread width is wide enough.

I have 2 buddies that have regamasters 18x9.5 +45, both tires are 265/35 but different brands. Falkens rub but Michelins doesn't.

I do not have any issue at all with rubbing. In the other photos, I had 255/40 Continental DWS’, but am now running 255/35 Achilles 123S and am lowered 1.5” on Fortune Auto 510 Series coilovers. I tracked it last weekend with the new setup, and still have yet to rub. Hope this helps!
Sir do you recommend the Achilles brand? looking at the ATR sport 2
