Idk why, but this reminds me of a 'mind the gap' type of photo, lol...

As Drax said, "It would make my groin engorge.."
Its one of my favorite photos ive taken of the car. I dont know why, but I almost regret selling those Konigs. They were nothing special, but I didnt mind the look or the color especially when contrasted with red lugs. The size and offset was perfect, just needs a beefier set of tires.

Do the OEM Type R center caps fit this wheel?

Good question. They look like they might fit however I did not try. I like just keeping it all black.
Where did you get the rims? Thanks.

Just a random plug, Showstoppers NJ is having a sale on Volk and Advan wheels if anyone is interested.

I worked with Brian on my Works and lugs and he was great to work with. I have no affiliation with Showstoppers, just spreading the word.

Discount Tire Direct
Call them up to place an order because the website doesn't show these wheels when you select your car and if you don't select a car it doesn't give you an install kit.

The Motegi center caps are matching aluminum caps, at least on the MR145’s - which is great for the track at least.

Thanks a lot for posting this. I have the same color Type R, and those are literally the exact same wheels and tires that I wanted to go with. I only held off because supposedly knowledgeable people told me the 45mm offset would be a problem with torque steering, and that the 18x9.5 wheels would rub, or create other handling problems. I also read a surprising number of great reviews on the tires and talked to a very experienced forum member about them. Everyone said their grip was excellent, and they would also offer me the ability to use the car 95% of the time in my region, given the seasons. One those days (maybe 20 a year) If there is significant snow on the road, I have an alternate vehicle.

Just looked them up, planning to order them from Tire rack, but they say the Montegi MR146 won't fit my Type R???
I can't make any sense of this. Previously, about a month back, I even had them, plus the tires in my cart and all was okay. They also appear to be on closeout.

I previously talked to the only two Discount Tire stores anywhere near me, and they said they could not order Montegi wheels because of some regional issue. If I can't get them from Tire rack, I'm in trouble. They are the only place that had them at a good price, with free shipping, and free mounting and balancing.

Call discount tire direct and order over the phone. For some reason tire rack doesn't have these listed as available and discount tires website only lets you order factory sizes. Call them up and they can place the order for you.

Thanks for posting this. I was close to pulling the trigger on the MR924s but think I’ll be happier with 18s in the long run due to the crappy roads in my area. Just called DTD and placed an order for this setup.

Enjoy. I'm super happy with how these turned out.
