How’s the ride with 40 series tires?
I love it. I’m probably not going to lower it any time soon. So the 40 fills the gap pretty good... but yeah the 20s was to heavy and had no traction! 40 is 110% better. Also it hooks up pretty good now!

Finally picked out my set of wheels and tires.

18x9.5 +40 Volk ZE40’s in Mag Blue
Going to run 255/40 Advan Apex V601 since I’m going to stay at stock height for now.

Will post pictures in the next couple of days once they are on the car.

Those are going to be straight fire on BBP!
Fixed it for you ?

I haven’t mounted them yet. Our winter hasn’t been very pleasant so, no need to rush since Mother Nature refuses to retire the snow. I did get a photo in direct sunlight, and I think it’s definitely a different look.

After what seems like reading every possible forum, article, feed FB/IG post-comment from 2018+ think I figured out my wheel-tire setup. Please advise as I didn't want to ask until I had read everything. Wheel brand tbd (paying a TON for my Son's school), want more poke and less dread (Baltimore roads). Let me know if this will work and if I'll need camber arms. I'm not inclined to screw with fenders and such either so keen not to rub with people in the car (it's my daily)
18-9.5-42 or 45 with Michelin PS 4AS (again Baltimore cold days ~38f with 'some' snow)
Tire size 265-40-18. Stock initially but want Swift Springs for 'some' low but not painfully low.
Thank you all for your time.

Maybe 255 40, I’m stock height currently with 265 35 and think that would have been a more ideal choice for the height. 265 40 sounds like asking for problems

265/40 on swift will likely rub. That's a lot taller than the stock set up. Try going to willtheyfit.com. You can compare differenct wheel/tire combos to each other for height, width, poke, speedo difference, you name it. If you're lowering, 255/40 will keep you close to stock diameter. 265/35 is more popular, but will lower the car 1/2" on its own before you put springs. Hope this helps!
