the FK8 comes with 20x8.5 +60 offset wheels. Generally speaking the OEM wheel is extremely conservative meaning you won't have any issues with rubbing. As a rule of thumb you have about 25mm on both the inside and outside of the wheel to play with without major issues. Most modern cars don't go to negative offsets so you don't have to worry about that, generally speaking most street cars stay within the positive range of offsets.

So back to what the CTR can fit, is you stay 8.5 width then you want to stay in offsets between +35 or higher. If you go to 9 width then you have to adjust for the added width and you want to stay within +40 or higher, and if you go to 9.5 +45 or higher. These figures are just rough estimates, you can add negative camber or run stretch tire to add more room to play with... but if you're just getting into wheels then these are fairly good number to go by.
-> FR: This is very interesting and helpful!!!... I am purchasing a set of Kensai Astro wheel 19x9.5 +36 so I'm wondering if will affect the ride?

Generally it will improve handling as it provides larger track width. Ride quality wise it will mainly be affected by possible rubbing depending on tire used and other suspension factors.

The BBS XR are a +32 offset based on my research, though Tire Rack doesn't list it...thoughts on this set up? Will the wheels poke or the tires rub at that offset? Reviews on the Advans put them similar to the Pilot 4S.

Edit: Stock suspension on my CTR as well.

I might get the same setup.

How do you like the way it rides/handles?

Looks like not much brake clearance in the front. But I guess with 18s thats what you get.
What about the bolt pattern? Is it 5x120? I can only find them in 5x108 and 5x114

Sorry if this isn't the right thread to post this in, but I just put a deposit down on a 23 CTR, and I need to figure out a winter setup quickly.

I have a set of wheels and tires for my current car (a 2022 Golf R). Cheapo Sport Tuning ST7 18x8 with Blizzaks 225/40R18. My hope is that I just order a set of wheels with the 5x120mm bolt pattern and swap those blizzaks to new wheels at a local shop.

I was looking at this from TR:
https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whe...R&autoYear=2023&autoModClar=&tire=34HR8WS90XL

Does anyone see any issues with this combo? It looks like the wheel/tire package tool at tirerack defaults to wider tires (like 235 or 245).

Replying to my own post...

I ended up ordering the linked wheels above and got the 225/40R18 Blizzaks mounted to them Wednesday morning, just as the snow was starting to fall (it was over 70 degrees here the day before!). They worked out just fine for me... The car was sitting a bit low in this photo because I had probably 250lbs of wheels and tires in the back.

Does anyone know of an autocross street class legal wheel that is still in production or available? Needs to be 19x8.5 et53-60. I've been looking everywhere for a wheel that will work with no luck.
