I'm butting into an old post but upon going to a car show and sitting in the ST I was really disappointed with how cheap the interior felt. I had a normal Focus hatch, for a rental, that was really fun to drive and throw into corners, very go-karty, but after driving several others, not on the list, I opted for the Si. I wanted to like both the VWs and Subarus, but found them too expensive and not to my style liking. I already loved the style of GenX Civics, am a Honda fan, and lucked out that I saw an Si on the road. I didn't previously know they'd existed. I was looking at a Touring Civic but it wasn't nearly as exciting to drive as the Si, nor was a high end Accord, or Taurus SHO, or Mazda3, or Hyundai Azera, or Toyota Camry, or... There may be some others... Yeah, I realize there are several different markets there.
