Okay, simpler question, does the type R Brembo calipers fit the mounting bolts on the SI?

Yes and no actually .
Type R brembo caliper mounting holes have the same center distance as the 1.5T 10thgens (140mm) .
But the type r uses M14 bolts and the 1.5t 10th gen uses M12 bolts.
The offset of the caliper will most likely not fit with your oem splash shield and/or wheel hub.

Looks like its doable to retrofit these on the non R civics. Will need the right size 5x114.3 rotors and correct offset to work properly

I wonder if somebody did it already

Bringing this back from the dead.
Mainly because I’m doing the Brembo R&D for my 2022. I can confirm, that all the 2022 civics (excl. 23 CTR obv) in all trims are also 140mm caliper mounting bolt spacing. So this is very possible with more research. Next obstacle being which rotor will work? Will the CTR rotor work if shimmed? Will it be a similar situation with the Genesis Brembos where they use a nissan rotor? A lot of variables still.

But then I dug around some more…
And these guys over on some Malaysian FE Facebook group have 2022 sedans with 6-pistons, so I reached out and apparently Maserati Brembos are another an option to look at.🤷🏻‍♂️

It all depends on what caliper you are going to use.It needs to match the offset of the caliper with the offset of the rotor.
The type r rotor can be redrilled to 5x114,3 .But it has a 70mm center hole and stock civic is 64,10mm.So you need a metal centering ring for it.
Total height of the type r rotor is 55mm.
BalladeSports used to offer a Kit for the S2000 with FK8 calipers ,but they had to be milled afaik to make them fit .fk8 calipers on s2000

Thanks for the input guys. Sucks because the type r brembos look better than the genesis ones.. any difference between the 27won calipers and wildwood, or are they pretty much the same?
Wilwood has been around for over 4 decades. I was at a JDM vintage car show and 90% on the Hondas were running Wilwood. Lastly the cost to replace the the single piece 12.6" disc is a little over $100 while the three piece replacement is $300+
Have fun and spend your money wisely.
