Bumping this thread for a temp check.

How do current people feel about the 11th Si and possibly the '22 GTI in GS?
I am not entirely convinced that 11th Si will be better than our car, I think the 10th gen would still be competitive enough in GS. As far as new GTI…hmmm…not sure.

Btw, will Elantra N go to DS? Or will it be classed in GS just because it’s such a big car…

I think the 10th gen will still be top dog in GS this coming year given the current car market, I mean unless people are willing to shell out +$30k for an Si ?‍♂

Elantra N is basically what a Accord Type R would be

Not quite. The Elantra has a shorter wheelbase than the 11th gen (107.1 vs 107.7) and in base trim at least is lighter than an 11th Civic as well (2895lb vs 3058lb) 10th Si is 106.3/2911lb for comparison.

C&D spec sheet

Accord is on a whopping 111.4in wheelbase so the next gen compacts still have a ways to go.

The Elantra N looks to be 95% of a 10th gen Type R for 90% of the price, and therefore has a 99% chance it goes to DS.

Yeah, the Accord is huge. I test drove a Sport 2.0T with the thoughts of ordering a 6MT version but it felt massive and the suspension was soft.. The Si just felt so much better and I don't regret the decision at all.

So what are my fellow Civic Si owners doing for this season? Are you guys moving to a different car/class or staying in GS?

For me…at least one more season in GS…

Looks like it'll be my first season as a Novice!

I've been trying to get to an event since 2018/2019 and it looks like this might actually be my year.
Nothing's written in stone but I am pretty excited.

EDIT: If anyone is planning to attend the Bremerton SCCA Novice Event in March, my plan is to be there! My goal is to not get disqualified and finish all my runs successfully. A secondary, icing on the cake goal would be to not post the slowest time. Though I'm not really holding out hope on that one.

While I think the 10th Gen Civic Si is one of the best daily/autocross cars. I will be buying mine off my lease just to sell. The market is too good not to take the profit. I bought a truck daily/tow rig/camper cover and getting an 8th gen Si for w2w.

Sad my 3-year Civic G Street plan turned into 1 year and 3 national events.

Last year I didn't autocross my Si at all but this year I plan to split my time between it and my STR ND MX-5. No major events planned though in either car.

Honestly that sounds like a personal problem
