I’m thinking of upgrading to any of the cars named above (all of which I find appealing) and would appreciate any opinions, feedback, or experiences with those vehicles to help narrow it down for me.

Quite the diversity of options here. Like probably 99% of Si owners on here, I can heartily recommend the Si for anyone looking for an engaging and fun all-rounder for a decent price. The GTI would likely be my second choice from your list because it offers a manual, but the price is a tad higher and reliability is not as famous as Honda's. I think the ILX looks great, but beyond the styling everything is old (in particular its chassis), and I prefer rowing my own gears.
I hope to never find myself owning a crossover.

The UX250 is slow and it's not even on the same market, it competes against the ch-r and hr-v

ILX looks outdated

Like @Drake mentioned majority of the members have an Si in some point in their life.

If you want power get the GTI but if you want something more reliable and less of a maintenance headache get the Si

I guess I’ll start test driving all four to see which one really stands out to me. I am a little skeptical about VW’s reliability. I heard the ILX A-Spec is like driving an old school honda which I kind of like (I enjoy that nostalgic feeling). I like the look and height of the Lexus UX250 F-sport and it gets great mileage since it’s a hybrid and around the same hp as my Civic sport hatch but hopefully would retain that Toyota/Lexus reliability. Lastly, my Civic Sport Hatch already had multiple issues and so I am a little discouraged in owning an almost identical car (SI) but maybe I just got unlucky on this one.

Traded my 6mT Sport hatch with 89k miles for a 2020 Si and it’s a big upgrade. But hard to find an Si now so that’s a problem.

Consider also the Elantra N or Kona N as similar cars to the Si.

Used 2018 or 2019 GTI with experience package and transferable 6 year warranty is a great option - they sold new with $6-7k discounts so don’t overpay.

I’ve driven the GTI, Si and the ILX A-Spec. The GTI will give you the best of both in terms of luxury and performance from the Si and ILX.

The ILX is small and performance wise less HP than both.
