I just received this email from Honda, I'm subscribed to their email list in their page to recieve updates about the Si, and out of nowhere I got this email saying 192 pound-feet of torque. I don't know how I feel about it, I personally wanted something in the range of 220-230, but I'm still going to get it hopefully.

Previously, Honda had only officially stated that the new Si will have 25% more torque and horsepower than the Civic Touring

I just got the same email too! Wondering if someone slipped up and released some info they weren't supposed to.

Definitely seems a bit on the lower side, but given how things are going with the regular 1.5, I think it'll be good for a lot more power!

Yeah it really seems to be some leaked info, because it just says that out of nowhere

Well the write up is talking about torque to get your groceries. Torque which is 192,, it will still probably have at least 220 HP.
Hopefully you are correct, im going to buy the car regardless if it is 200 or 220, but it will still be nice to be on the higher end

The CRV's 1.5 has 190/179. At minimum, we should see 203-205 HP in the Si, depending on how they tweaked the ECU.

For the record, I also think they will wrangle 215+ out of the powertrain.

So...they're branding the Si as a commuter now?:hmm:
With the CTR in the top tier for the USDM market, it makes sense from a marketing perspective. Technically, it should have the same DNA/tuning as previous Si's. With a similar gap to its competition (GTI, ST, Cooper S, etc).
