Good morning guys, how are you?

Decided to present my civic, here in Brazil, as far as I know, it has some differences from the United States civic

His engine is a R20Z1(SOHC), this engine has 155 hp, using ethanol / alcohol as fuel

This engine can also use as gasoline fuel

(gasoline from Brazil is of very poor quality

We even have a joke, making a pun, calling it "gasolixo" (junk gasoline)

or also "Dinosaur juice)

In Brazil the Civic is considered a luxury car, it is a very expensive car, it has a very high value

Earning a minimum wage, it is necessary to work for more than 10 years, to buy a new turing

Here the oil change is done with 5,000 kilometers
under severe conditions of use, and 10,000 kilometers under normal conditions of use.

We use 0w20 oil, and unfortunately we do not have any high quality oil with these specifications

The original Honda oil, costs more than 50 Reais

What in direct conversion are 12 dollars, but doing the correct conversion, the original honda oil, in brazil it costs the equivalent of 55 dollars

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

My civic I bought it used, already with 2 years of use, and with 40.00
kilometers

It cost 76,000 Reais, direct conversion is equivalent to 18,200 dollars

What converting correctly, is equivalent to $ 85,000

Yes, in Brazil, a used civic sport costs the equivalent of $ 85,000

If you have any doubts, any questions, you can ask whatever you want

Edit: He's using Continental tires, ExtremeContact 215/50/17

is one of the best tires that we have available to this extent in the Brazilian market

Wow, I've never heard of such an engine. In the states our Civics use K or L series engines.

I'm interested. Would you mind showing the engine or maybe some things that your Civic has that ours doesn't or vice versa?

Some south american countries have extremely bizarre and restrictive tarrifs. That doesn't mean civic is a luxury car in Brazil, only that it's tarriffed to the point where you're not supposed to buy it.

This is the Sport version, it is the most basic version

However, the most complete and most expensive ones have differences that are just technological, more comfort items, nothing special

Except for the turing version, which uses 1.5 turbo engine and has a more modern suspension, focusing more on comfort

this 1.5 turbo engine, is the L15B7, and has 173hp and 22.4 of torque

The civic SI is also an L15B7, however with 208 hp 26.5 torque / kgfm

Civic Si in Brazil is more expensive than Turing (Civic Si comes through imports)

Civic Si, and Civic Turing, are NOT flex, Honda's 1.5 turbo engines only use gasoline

In Brazil there is no Civic Type R, to buy it you must import it yourself, and this has an exorbitant cost

---------
I believe that in Brazil, the R20Z1 engine is used, as it is cheaper and, perhaps, a matter of fuel consumption and quality

If you can tell me about the US civic, I would be very happy

What media does it do?

(the Brazilian Civic, depends on the fuel and driving mode, when alcohol / ethanol is used as fuel, it has more power, but it spends more fuel

Using in a normal way, and mixed use (city and highway) using gasoline as fuel, I make an average of 10 kilometers using a liter of fuel)

But if I try to drive in an economical way, it is possible to make an average of 18 kilometers per liter

The photos were taken at night, and my garage is not well lit, so the photos were of poor quality

The engine is a little dirty, because I live in the countryside, we have dirt roads, so it ends up getting very dirty

Another question I have

What suspension do you have in your civic?

(In Brazilian it is multilink behind, and macpherson in front)
------------------
What fuel do you use?

(Brazil, cars in general, can use Gasoline or alcohol

In Brazil, by law, gasoline is required to have 25% mixed alcohol (this law is very bad)

Some gas stations, in order to be more profitable, add even more alcohol, along with gasoline (gasoline is more expensive than alcohol, gasoline has a higher value than alcohol)

Such practice is a crime

Many stations using other components mixed in gasoline and alcohol, to have a higher profitability, and this usually destroys the engine

There are also many fuel pumps that are rigged to mark a larger amount of fuel than actually entered the car’s tank.

In Brazil, it is not you who refuel your car, gas stations have an employee to fill your car, they are called "FRENTISTAS"

Due to fuels, and especially gasoline, it has a very high cost, it is common to install a "GNV" kit, making the car be moved to a type of GAS

I will leave the link to the honda do brasil website, so you can take a look at the available models

https://www.honda.com.br/automoveis/

I'll also leave a link to a website, where you can see the technical specifications of the civic, and practically all cars we have in Brazil

The link below has my specific civic information

https://www.carrosnaweb.com.br/fichadetalhe.asp?codigo=6241

Each version, year and model, has some differences

And the link below you can place up to 4 cars and make a comparison

https://www.carrosnaweb.com.br/compara.asp

(and finally, Honda and Toyota are considered to be one of the best brands, as they are hardly defective, and the repair costs are not usually so high)

CNG is cheaper than gasoline, the cost per kilometer is less

However, the engine suffers greater wear

-------------------

If you can tell me exactly what your civic engine is, what its power is, what fuel it uses, and the oil change period, I would be grateful

Very cool! Seems like we have pretty much the same car.

The most noticeable difference would be the engine, mine comes with a K20c2. The K20c2 runs off of regular pump gas in America which would contain up to 10% ethanol.

Other than that, I don't see anything else that would be different than the ones we have over here. But maybe some of the other guys on the forum can spot some things.
