Hi guys,
gettting ready to pull the trigger on a 2018 Civic LX 6 speed manual dealer is selling for 16,500. The new turbos and cvt make me nervous about long term reliability. So my question is are you happy with your Lx? Any regrets about not getting a higher trim level? Any advice is appreciated!

I'd grab it in a heartbeat. I have LX hatch and really happy with it although DI along with turbo makes engine oil choice much more complicated. But for 16.5 you should take it right away and be a happy man!!!

I think the LX was the right decision for me. The only thing I would have wanted from a higher trim would be heated seats, but I can live without them for what it would have cost to get them.

The only mod I had done to mine was Katzkin leather seats - well worth 1200$ I paid for it...original cloth is an absolute joke.

I think he means the 2.0 because he mentioned not wanting a turbo

I also like that the LX doesn't have a sunroof. No sunroof looks better, weighs less and less potential for problems down the road. I sometimes think about picking up a ralleye red LX civic coupe. That's one nice looking sporty car that should go forever. My must-have feature though is Car Play and I'm still not satisfied with the plug and play nature of the aftermarket audio systems on this car.

Hi guys,
yes it’s a 2018 sedan lx with 6 speed for 16,500. MSRP is 19,230. I am coming out of a 2017 Accord ex manual sedan. I don’t care for all the tech stuff ( carplay, no knob for radio, sunroof, push start, smart entry) just more potential for things to break later. Apparantly the cvt in the civics are solid units, but don’t trust longevity compared to 6 speed manual. The fact the Lx doesn’t come with all that is the most appealing thing about it for me as well as price obviously. Putting 0 down, 72 months at 3.9% apr through Honda comes to 282 a month. Selling the hatchback lx for $700 more, so 17,200. I looked at the hatch but can’t get past the huge fake grills in the rear bumper, don’t understand it

I have an LX hatch, but I don't regret not getting a higher trim. I just needed a vehicle that could get me from point A to point B and wanted the functionality of the hatchback and that's what I got. Like you, I wasn't really looking for a fancy infotainment system or the sunroof. The fake grilles don't bother me at all, in fact I kinda like them because it breaks up the monotony of having just bumper there and at a certain angle, it looks super sporty, but it is a pain to wash. Overall, if you aren't looking for anything fancy, go with the LX.

Back in 1999 I got LX manual out the door for $14,200. Most reliable car I owned and drove it for 14 years. You'd be crazy not to get this car for that price.
