Real easy, just push into the gap and cut the ends, no tools or glue or anything

if you're going to spray red paint over it, then yes.

but if you're going to install one of those cheap adhesive red trims that can easily found on ebay, then obviously you don't need to take of the trim pieces.

Yeah pretty sure that's where I got them. Unfortunately, my star's eyes have come off lol

I had the red bead installed for a year in the "Type-R" pattern. After about 14 months the "bead" faded and started to shrink. So for the last year I've been driving without any. Last week I saw the pictures of the Si interior refresh. So I installed the "bead" over the instrument panel like the new Sis. I like it, and think that I'm going to keep it that way.
