Looks great! Have you noticed anything unexpected from going into the A-pillar? I was thinking of road noise or wind noise.

My Civic is at the installer right now for an identical tweeter install among others.

It sounds the same, I didn't notice any abnormal wind noise. Then again if I did the tweeters would mask it...lol

Great sound! Im shocked how much difference it makes having the highs come from the top instead of the foot area.. Good luck on your install! Only thing I would change would be the speaker trim rings have a light grey brushed metal look. Doesn't really match the car interior, Ill probably paint them black.

Nice, was thinking about upgrading my speakers too. Was there any roadblocks in the installation process?

Nope, the crossover was mounted in the door and the A pillar plastic piece had plenty of room for a tweeter. As for the door speakers I left them stock, I don't think you will get any better sound from aftermarket speakers with that stock head unit. Maybe I'm wrong, can anyone else answer that?

I removed the spare, built a custom sub box for two 10's. Didn't like the sound, so replaced head unit. Then went all in... got some sound dampening "rubber" and put new front and rear door speakers both with tweeters. Now I can jam A LOT harder or just nicely crisp. I put a volume control standalone for the subs.

Did you just drill them or did you buy the sail panels from a higher model?

I found the part numbers for the EX and above panels for the tweeters...they are like $6 a piece. I will be doing this as well...going to put components in the rear doors as well (have a bit of an audiophile kid who sits in the back a lot...and, why not?) :)

You just tap into wires from door speaker?
Yes, this kit came with the crossover to split the highs to the tweeters and the lows from the foot speakers.

I just cut the existing sail panel.
