those rims are over $1,000 + installation. At the expensive of $500 more in MSRP for the 6MT models at least. So considering you're dumping the steel wheels for alloys, $500 is hardly 'unfair'
not to mention a 2016 civic coupe lx has the same components as a 2016 Civic sedan EX...Better suspension, tires, etc...Wow, can you believe the Coupe LX gets alloy wheels and the Sedan gets hubcaps... Talk about unfair .
Yeah, on the premise that you buy them as replacement parts and keep your existing wheels. On the assumption you 'trade' your steel wheels with hubcaps for those alloys, the difference is probably $500.those rims are over $1,000 + installation.
Is that even possible?Yeah, on the premise that you buy them as replacement parts and keep your existing wheels. On the assumption you 'trade' your steel wheels with hubcaps for those alloys, the difference is probably $500.
At the consumer level, no because the LX was packaged with steel wheels that were mounted from the factory, so they are technically used and you'll never get full MSRP back for them. However, when I'm talking about the straight pricing economics with Honda putting alloys instead of hubcaps on, the $500 difference is mostly justified. Is that even possible?
Exactly what I'll be doing. I picked up a set of used EX 17" wheels/tires that I'll use for Spring and Summer, and I'll use my LX steelies for Fall and Winter.keep steels for winter tires!
