Is it normal for the cvt to slip when cold outside? It happens when only 10 degrees celcius and get worse when colder.
After driving 5 minutes or so it gets normal. It's not even cold, how will it behave when the winter comes and The temperature gets -20 degrees celcius.

I haven't recognized a slip on the CVT when temperatures are going down.

And I can't see it very good in the video.

My CVT makes a soft jerk when I'm accelerating after starting the car. And also when maneuvering into a parking spot, when changing between drive and reverse.

When was the last time CVT fluid was changed?

Dude that’s is some big slippage there in the transmission. When it’s cold out the most mine does is rev higher until car warms up.

Those numbers make no sense. It's a 2017 and there are only around 2,900 total miles on the car? AND you changed CVT fluid 20 months ago at around the 1,800 mile mark?

There has to be more to this story...

I have a 2019 CR-V with the 1.5T CVT and I noticed on cold days when the engine is not warm enough that it doesn't go into boost until the temp gauge bar starts to move up so it will literally rev at 2.5 rpm with no boost and I'm hardly accelerating anywhere. Maybe there is a safety threshold built in until the coolant/oil temps reach a certain temperature? not sure but at first I also thought it was CVT related. Maybe it doesn't go into boost because its waiting for the CVT to warm up? not sure

It was just misspelling, in the video the car has 45,898 kilometers.

Maybe the fluid was changed 17,000 kilometers ago?

What does the dealer say, is the car still under warranty?

Sounds like a defect unless abused/user error.

Alot of people put some premature wear on their cvt by not coming to a full and complete stop before changing from Drive to R or vice versa. Lot of people slow down then change but never a full dead stop. That really messes it up hard.

Yes you should not do that, but I always thought you can't even do that, because the reverse gear will be kind of blocked when the car is still moving forward. But I never tried it out.

And I guess it's also important to always pull the parking brake, before, whilst or after going to P. The car should not Park whithout the packing brake.
