I have bought catch can and some hoses and I just wanted to double check before install tomorrow and saw this. Dont know how long it has been like that

2018 july and has 32 500 miles (52000 km).

Sheeeet looks like a mouse went in there. Need to replace that hose. I don’t know how that would have happened. But not normal.

Agreed. Replace it before making any other changes and see if it happens again.

Some things I have noticed with the 1.5t is that it is quite loud engine tick from it in idle. Have read something about the high pressure fuel pump can make some noise and injectors.

I've had a customers car that had that hose shriveled up and split open. was shocked the check engine light didn't come on. my guess would be the hot oil vapors.

Yeah, injectors are noisy with the hood open. But while driving you shouldn't hear it too much.

I had just installed ktuner and noticed my turbo was getting progressively louder and start noticing boost leak. I had an oil stain on the hood and saw the tube was split open. After replacing the tube, turbo became nearly silent.
