I see many people delete the chrome door trim. Originally, I also didn't like it, but it has actually grown on me over time.

I feel like I'm the minority, anyone else actually like the chrome door trim?

Sometimes I like it on certain colours and wheel setups, so I know what you mean.

Not a fan at all. Once they started using the black grills, they should’ve used black trim on the doors across the board.

I have a chrome grill so the chrome trim around the doors is fine by me.

I don't think blacking out the trim is worth the effort...the car still looks great with chrome. If you just want something different then go for it.

I like it on my lunar silver, but didn't when I had the Crystal black.

I think it depends. On my dark Cosmic Blue, I like the pop the chrome window trim gives. I tried blacking it out with gloss black but it just looked "cheap" and blah. One the other hand I really like the blacked out trim on the lighter colors.

I hate that the only chrome on my black Si is the damn window trim. I still need to get around to covering them with vinyl.

I'm not a fan of the chrome trim, chrome badges or chrome grills on any model or color Civic, personally. I'm still in the process of a full body chrome delete. I haven't had time to finish it due to working a lot, but I'm looking forward to getting it done. The window visors cover most of the chrome window trim. Just gotta cover the leftover areas with some 3M vinyl and do the PlastiDip on the emblems/badges.

Everyone has different tastes. To each their own. :)

I kinda liked it on my 9th gen lx when I swapped the plastic hubs for chrome. It was also the Metallic steel color. But after now, I just couldn't go back to chrome, too much exposure, I like being "stealthy". ;)

Chrome will always be around, and will survive "chrome delete" fads. No chrome gives a more sporty look, but the worst thing is wallops of crude rubber around the windows, which soon looks like crap. So if its not chrome, it has to be something else than just rubber for me.
I like metal-looking trim around windows (which is not mirror-like chrome) on the older CRV's. The less plasticky and more metal the chrome looks the better. This car would look worse without it. As it is (was), I consider it one of the most tastefully looking and practically shaped small SUVs.

In terms of Si Civics, I think it looks fine on 17-19s with the factory wheels since the silvery accents complimented each other. MY20 with the blacked-out wheels now leaves the lonely silver chrome looking out of place.
