Cherry Bomb Turndown

I just made a Cherry Bomb Turndown pipe and was going to see if the community would be interested if I made more. I'm test fitting this first one and have 4 more cherry bombs and flanges to make more. Just gauging interest. I'll likely cut a balogna tip once I check the angle when mounted. Might repaint red or black high temp when finished. Using a 87524CB 3" ID cherry bomb cut at 30* tig welded on a 3.062" 3 bolt exhaust flange. Tig welded PEM bolts as hex head bolts didn't have enough clearance. I'll take some pics and sound clips once mounted!

Just finished and the call is oh so sexy. If loud pipes save lives I'm never going to die! It's honestly not nearly as loud as I imagined but the rumble is so deep and low and a lot of turbo whistle. Paired with RV6 catted dp and fp.

I still have a seething personal hatred for extremely unwarranted loud exhausts. I blame that on living in a region full of straight piped squatted chevy trucks that love to let them sing(?) at all hours of the night.

I’ve always loathed what seems like an exhaust dB double-standard between cars/trucks & motorcycles. We’re all regulated, but I wonder how often loud-a$$ bikes are cited for noise ordinance violations…

So I've been driving it for 4 days now. If you really finesse it you can get by without being too obnoxious. It's not really a specific RPM that it's loud so much as RPM x certain throttle. Each RPM/throttle input is different. At certain throttle you can get the cabin buzzing from the resonate frequency and NVH. It can be overbearing if you hit a nasty RPM/throttle. At WOT near redline it's actually not as bad as some lower RPM and is more woosh and growl then ear piercing loud. It's pretty amusing but definitely not something you'd want to keep on permanently. I'm having a lot of fun for now though. I'll need to put the invidia exhaust back on for a 10h trip next week. I have a bunch of dash cam footage but unfortunately it has that speed overlay. The videos don't do it any justice anyway.

Spent over an hour yesterday trying to track down the correct exhaust gasket as mine are rusted out. Went to 3 places and the most helpful guy at advance spent over 45 mins on the phone, computer, internet, and pulling every gasket he had to no avail. Just blasted some new ones out of 8g 6160 aluminum if anyone else needs them. Tighten them, race around and heat up the exhaust, impact them again and they'll last forever. Screw those disposable ones.
