Yay or Ney ? Friends of mine that no a lot more about cars then me recommend one. What's everyone's thoughts on the matter. Btw im pretty sure that is not how you spell ney.

I recently bought one as it was also recommended. Only checked it after 1000 miles and there was barely any oil in there and didn't see and visible deposits yet. Hopefully its doing its job though.

You should zip tie the hose that rests against the can. It vibrates and rubs the can, wearing away the rubber on the hose.

I’ll try to see where I can tie it up. Never had any issues with it since I have it more than 2 years already.

I have the mishimoto one as well. Its an insurance policy at the very least. Easy DIY install as well.

I say it's good to have on any car. Earth Dreams did do a good job with preventing oil going in the intake with their super ventilation future something something system, as oil builds very slowly in the catch can. But some oil is still oil, and I'd prefer cleaner air and less possibility for deposits.

As for brand any will do, going cheap on a catch can won't change its effectiveness as far as I know. I just got Mishimoto to feel safe, went with the universal and custom cut and bent a sheet of spare stainless to save money. Here it is:
