Thank you for respecting our US Veterans. We get a lot of crap from people who don’t understand Texas Disabled Veterans License Plates. Some of us get yelled at or receive dirty looks for parking in Disabled Parking because we don’t have the ISA wheelchair symbol on our plates. We get issued a blue placard too, but some drivers just need education. We also get free parking at any parking meter in Texas as well as free tolls in Austin and Houston.

That's just bunk. Sorry people can suck even here in Texas where we're supposed to be hospitable to a fault. I've mentioned it before but the military inadvertently saved my life. When I was enlisting back in '04 they caught something wrong with my kidneys at MEPS with the protein litmus test. Turns out I had a rare kidney disease. I was disqualified from serving but getting that diagnosis early gave me a jump start on my treatment

This tread may be dead, but I was wondering when and where everyone meets. Looking to meet new car enthusiasts after picking up my CTR. My old crew all live in San Antonio and I relocated up here for a job opportunity.

Sup, Ryan. So far no specific meets of just Type R here. Big groups are in Austin/Houston area. Are you on Facebook? Some guys are wanting to plan a statewide meet this month, people are voting the exact city.

As far as me, I go to Cars and Coffee Southlake. Maybe visiting Cars and Cantina car meet in the future. There's also Fueled Up car meet. They're all once a month and on Saturday/Sunday morning timeframe.

A couple friends of mine with CTR and I went to Cars & Coffee in Plano last month, but we couldn't get in. We got there around 6. We ended up parking in a lot at a business. It's pretty hectic there compared to the one in Fort Worth which is very laid back. We'll probably go to that one in couple of weeks. I went to Renegade Unleashed's first event at Summit back in November and was the only CTR there.

Below is a link to a drag race between a few hot hatches including the CTR, Golf R, and Focus RS. The CTR beats the Golf R in 1/4 mile from a dig but loses to the RS. However, the CTR smokes both of them from a roll.

Was the type R gaining on the amg towards the end of the video? quite looked like it.
