I’m in need of some serious help. I purchased a Gentex 453 autodim without compass/temp. I connected the 4 wire pigtail to the Automatic Dimming Mirror Attachment
Honda Part No.: 08V03-TBA-100 (I’ll post a picture with how I connected the wires together). I plugged everything in and the mirror has no power and no autodim. Only thing that lights up are the Homelink buttons. To make matters even worse now my car won’t start. Won’t even turn over. I’ve disconnected the battery and let it sit for a while and tried again to only fail again. I checked the codes and it’s giving me a “P0102 Mass or Air Flow Sensor A Circuit Low” and “P0560 system voltage”.

Dead battery. These cars are very sensitive to low voltage.

Definitely rule out a dead or really low battery. It has all the symptoms.

It ended up being a blown fuse under the dash. Fuse 21 labeled as “ACG”.

were you doing this with the battery still connected?

disconnect the battery when working on ANYTHING electrical
Yes, battery was absolutely disconnected. I should’ve mentioned what blew the fuse. When I soldered the wires from Gentex pigtail to the Honda wire harness I didn’t individually insulate each solder joint before heat shrinking them. This caused a power surge and blew the fuse. Dumb me was doing this on little to no sleep the night before thanks to work and I totally overlooked it! But, I went back and did things properly and what would you know, it works perfectly now!

Thank you for following up!

I have a Gentex that I'm going to install next week if I keep the car.
