Hello. Sorry in advance if this has been posted but couldn’t find anything related. I have a 2019 si with 7,000 miles on it. When I get into the car to start it it will only go to into accessory mode Initially. If I push to start again, it stays in accessory mode.

The only way that I can get it to start is by pushing clutch in, pressing push to start, going into accessory mode, taking my foot off the clutch and turning the car back off. After I do this, push the clutch in and push to start my car will turn on.

The first few times it did this I just thought maybe it was me but has happened several times. Thanks

I would go get this checked out at the dealer. But, of course, it will start perfectly when you try to show them!

You mean...if you do just that part, your car won't start?
Cause those are the only 2 steps that should be required from you for a succesful start...
if that ain't the case make sure to consult with the dealership for a fix.

Lol of course it will! That’s why I figured I’d ask around first

Exactly. It SHOULD start from this and the first time it happened I was like “eh maybe I was lazy and didn’t have the clutch the whole way in”
After it happened several times after that over the course of a week and a half I think it’s an issue... just odd

I'm wondering if pulling the battery for a bit will fix whatever is causing this.

I’m going to get it to the dealership as soon as I can. Today it happened again. It took me 5 attempts to start the car before it actually turned over

Sounds the clutch pedal position switch may be intermittent.
