So I was backing up and when I went to put it into 1st the car died as soon as I got out of reverse. Good thing I was still in my street and was able to push it back to parking to my parking stall. The TPMS lights flash as soon as I turn the key to on. Also the brake system light is on and when I push my clutch in, the (red) brake dash light flashes. Parking brake works fine and brake hold button illuminates the green dash light as normal. Everything seems to work fine except it doesn't start and reverse lights don't illuminate while ON and in reverse.
Checked all the fuses under the hood and inside multiple times. Also bought a new napa 500 cca battery since I've read so many battery problems, but to no avail. Reflashed the factory tune, flashed back the ktuner base map tune with vsa disabled, enabled, back to factory, etc. Still no start. Guys pls help!
- PRL SRI (Race MAF)
- KTuner 21 base map flash

Also fyi, I am on a mini lockdown where the dealerships are closed right now...

Sounds like the gear shift sensor doesn't know what position it's in.
I was thinking it could be the reverse switch but then I saw on the wiring diagram that the vsa module controls the reverse signal.
Does anyone know which one is the reverse switch on the transmission so I can test it with my multimeter to rule this out? Also maybe the neutral switch too

1) After replacing the main battery - Press and hold the brake pedal before trying to start (Canadian model note, likely applies to other models.)
2) Try other key - dead key battery or the immobilizer has kicked in.

I have already tried this. Still nothing.
