Took a 350 mile trip from Maine to Oneonta, NY last week. Mix of Interstate and hilly two-lane roads. Got 47.8 mpg; using E-10 gas!

Filled up in Albany with Real Gas (Premium 91 at Stewart's); but the return trip was bad. Rainy and it took 90 minutes to go 30 miles around Boston. Only got about 43.6 on the return trip.

Used the Cruise and ECON button on the Interstate. But the car has a split personality: Turn off ECON, make a few downshifts, hit the gas and it GOES!

Man I hope I never get up to 50 MPG. If I do, that means I've stopped enjoying my commute.

I just did a 175 mile trip. Econ on, cruise set at 64, mostly flat land, about 5 WOT blips, slowed through about 7 small towns, 50.6 mpg. Most I ever got.

Just took a ride from the Upper Peninsula back home to Milwaukee today. Split between 55-70 zones.

Car said 54 for most of trip, went down to 51 as I approached Milwaukee. Used less than a quarter tank of gas. We'll see what the true mpg knocks out to.

50 mpg is pretty decent hypermiling, were I live it's not even possible to drive that slow over a long period of time.

IMO enjoying a commute starts with 30 mpg and less.
