This one is CARB legal on 2016s only.
However I feel like you could still install it in a 2017 or later and slap on the CARB sticker and the popo would be none the wiser. Prolly illegal tho lol

If that's your intake, did you have to do a tune to avoid any weird behavior of the engine? Just wondering if it was plug and play.

do cops in Cali pull people over and force them to pop their hoods to check for illegal mods? wouldn't intakes only become an issue when you go in for smog inspection?

For the most part, cops don't do that. But if you get pulled over for something else and they suspect you might have performance mods that aren't street-legal they will ask you to pop the hood.

And yes, they'd only really be an issue during smog checks.

I mean people are running catless FP/DP and shit like that... CAI is something that can be hidden since it doesn't smell. Just don't go into boost range.

Definitely the cop. Was with my buddy when he got pulled over and the cop asked him to pop his hood and he had an intake and a exhaust and got state reffed for it.

Buy a CARB EO# sticker off eBay and slap it on whatever intake you want. 99% of cops won’t know if that EO# applies to that specific intake
