So I imagine in AZ on a street car with no other mods the track radiator(I will eventually get on track) would be find? Hottest summer on record, over 50 days over 110 this past summer. Winter highs are typically in the 70s...overnight it gets cool though...

The track radiator is safe to drive on the street. You could probably get away with running majority distilled water, water wetter and Honda coolant. Hard to say if just the radiator will do the trick since I’m not familiar with your local tracks / your lap times.

We have only 1 track with longer straights, Arizona Motorsports Park is 2.25 mile, 16 turn course, my ITR I was usually at the 2:00 mark, but car was capable of much faster. Wild Horse Pass we use 2 tracks there, occasionally the Bondurant track which is 1.5 and the Main track which is the same and incorporates the drag strip. Main has fast times in FWD in the 1:10 range or faster, East I have a friend who went under a minute in a k swapped DC2 but it’s only 1.2 miles, the shortest is West but it’s more technical and lap times at that 1.1 mile track are in the low 1 minute range, I think I ran a 1:08...lots of variety and we have a new course breaking ground next year that will bring 2 more tracks(they mirror each other) that are 2.5 miles each and can be combined.

So I guess I’m saving for the track radiator, I would plan on starting from that, getting data and building out from there. Hopefully since we have probably the hottest climate in the country for tracking, the info will be helpful...if it works here...likely will work anywhere...

Same connection on PWR. Good news is haven’t heard back from the person with the C&R leak, so it seems like either repositioning the OEM clamp or adding the 2nd hose clamp fixed his issue. Just take care when installing.

Probably isn’t a bad idea anyway to add a 2nd clamp for track use, just in case. I’ll probably add one.

Does our CTR use a special coolant or will the standard mix of water and anti-freeze be fine.

CTR comes filled with Honda Type 2 coolant. You can do a mix to help cooling even further. Just depends on your climate

Sadly, the APR radiator cooling plates are just for looks I believe... but they are pretty nice.

Did a writeup on the install here

Kinda worried about my setup and the radiator. My turbo kit is really close to oem setup, almost touching it. Does this radiator move fans towards the engine at all or is everything "pushed" forwards.. the thicker core being why I ask @Lust

I believe it moves it more forward than rearward.

Two track days since you helped me with the leak and hasn’t leaked since. And my god how nice it is to not overheat anymore. Thank you again for lending a helping hand when I was stranded ??
