Is there much difference in production and reliability issues in 2017-8 compared to 19? Thanks.

The MSRP of the 19 is slightly higher, it comes with the upgraded head unit and some Honda sensing features. Performance wise it's the same.

2019 is third year into hatchback production, so 19 MY cars should have less chance of getting a lemon? I've never had bmw or mercedes dealers refusing warranty work. It's quite disconcerting about honda dealers...

For me, buying new gives me the peace of mind that I know (more or less) the complete history of the car. I mean even if it is 1 or 2 years used, the previous owner could have abused it or modded it. Also, as keepitmoving said. So 2019 gets my vote

With a turbo, i would prefer to buy a new one if i can. The chance of previous owner tuning the motor and abused it is pretty high. With NA motors i wouldnt mind buying a few years old pre owned.
