buying a Ktuner

ok guys i'm about to buy a Ktuner anybody know the best place to buy that will be up to date on software?

i see many on Ebay but buying from there is kinda iffy to be since i might end up with one that is locked to a car

my ktuner v2 should arrive friday is there anything i need to do before i hook it up to the car?
I never had a car that I tuned before so this is all new to me
