I am deciding weather or not to purchase a Honda Civic Si for my Spouse. Any opinions and what can we expect to pay?

I paid $25k OTD @ 1.9% for 60 in Texas (includes about $1400 in taxes and ~400 in reg fees) with the same dealer options as HSFBunny.

I got one with my wife largely in mind. It's a nice blend of economy and sportiness. She had already loved an RSX... which she picked out herself, and mutually had gotten a '15 Civic Si some years later.

However... let him/her try it for themselves and make up their own mind if it's going be their primary car. They may hate it. Once they give it a try and at least comparison shop a thing or two... if your the money man(woman) then you can send them away and do your thing.

I've learned to never assume my spouse is going to have the same taste in cars I have. When she picked the RSX, I was all for another car we'd looked at but I told it was her call and she made it. The Civic platform is the closest we've come to an agreement. Even when we were shopping... I was going to check out a sport hatch and she told me anything other than an actual Si was unacceptable. Tough lady.

My wife told me that she would learn to drive stick if I got an si.

Does your spouse like the si? Could they drive stick before you picked it up? Have they enjoyed it and try to take it over? Or was it a short love affair them?

She could. The RSX we got 10 years ago and was a type S so, manual only. She could drive a stick then, albeit not proficiently. I'd already have a Z32 and Z31 she'd learned to drive stick on. It's about 80% her DD and she loves it. She and I were both bored with our 9th gen Si by this point in ownership. I did do a basemap w/Kuner as well which she preferred as well.

She drives the hell out of that little car.

In your area they are going for around 22K + TTL. Try going through Costco auto purchase program if you have their membership.

picked up a 2018 civic si with 8 miles on it in early February for 21.4k OTD near Chicago with no extras at all. If you are looking at buying new I highly recommend Costco auto, they gave me a great deal with no hassle. Even if you don't decide to buy from them you still get a piece of paper with there offer to use as leverage for other dealers.
Great deal!

You know OTD means including tax right? So they sold it to you for 20k? an SI?

As others have asked, was this really the out the door price (with tax and fees)? That would be a sub-$20k sale price assuming 6.25% sales tax in Illinois. I have a costco membership, but there are no local dealers for Honda that participate.
