Usually when buying a car you can skip on a lot of the extra coverages. My advice, don't skip the road hazard insurance, get the most premium coverage you can get to cover your tires and wheels
Roads suck in my state, I have $5000 worth of coverage and I I'm damn near to using all of it. One pot hole had two wheels and tires replaced on the passenger side and I'm dealing with hitting a manhole that was not flush to street, probably gonna have to replace another wheel.
Everytime you have something happen to tire, nothing is in stock and it is not as easy to deal with. It's a 2 week turnaround. Invest in a spare.
That or get some 18" and something with more sidewall.
Just wanted to share this advice with anyone thinking of picking up a Type R. I love the car, but holy crap are the wheels fragile. (Doesn't help where I live makes me happy extra susceptible.)
On another note, Honda roadside assistance is very prompt and helpful.
Anyone else hav wheel/tire horror stories?
