I recently drove over a bump in a construction zone that generated a huge THUD. Later that day, coolant began leaking on my garage floor. Today the dealership informed me the radiator needs replacing. In fact, the damage was so bad they thought I'd been in a front end collision.

I've driven my wife's car several times over that bump, and while you definitely feel it, it's never generated a thud like this.

Could the fact that I'm lowered on the Eibach Pro Kit have contributed to the damage? My wife is "perturbed" that I lowered it.

Can't say I've ever heard of a car hitting a bump and coming out with a damaged radiator, especially on a car that is only 3 years old. Nevertheless, sounds like a good excuse to upgrade to one of the Koyorad units, they are built much better than the OEM radiator.

Replace the radiator and stock suspension and drive over the same bump. For science.
