head port and polish is about $1400, and pair with aftermarket valves, seats, spring, retainers, keeper, and valve seal for about another $1300. The head itself cost almost as much as the shortblock ā˜¹. I plan for a lot of crackle and pops, maybe shot or machine fire. And also idle tune to sound like cams, going to pump gas a lot

back to redline though, I donā€™t think the W1 can bring it to 8k at all, especially with such fuel limit. But reaching 8k is kind of scary as oil would need to flow more and hopefully drivetrain can keep itself together. I wouldnā€™t like to end up like MAPerformance where they lift off clutch to change gear and rpm blip from 7.4k to over 8k or so. Mis-shift at 8k definitely will throw something mechanical off. Redline is designed for mis-shift at rev limiter

W1 - cheap and easy to replace if my tune/driving destroys it :)
For $1400 new from 27Won, definitely worth the buy.

$1,400 for W1 from 27Won website. W1 can be rebuildable by them if it breaks out of warranty at a little over half the cost.
They actually list for $1,592.71. Sounds like you got a deal. :thumbsup:

A little over 400whp for street fun. Got the 27Won turbo to be installed as well. Itā€™ll be a fun fwd daily driver with the pretty amazing powerband without delay. PnP extra low end torque and more power high rpm . 8K screamer
You won't make over 400whp on the W1 turbo without meth and pushing the turbo past it's capacity.

Weā€™ll see what port and polish can do and if fuel kit is available by the time Iā€™m ready to get my car worked on.

Lol good luck. Fuel kit youā€™ll have to put together yourself as Maperformance and PRL have some of what you need. The rest is up to you to get. Fueling is one issue. Turbo is the other. 27Won even says that the limit of the turbo is 30psi and any higher would result in it going boom boom soon. As that is what happened with Francoā€™s turbo pushing over 400whp on W1 with meth @35psi

Will be swapping this Si shortblock and a Si head. Swapping the L15BA shortblock will require Siā€™s pulley belt as itā€™ll mount starter in different location. But hey, if your motor is already apart, might as well change oil/water pump, timing tensioner/chain while itā€™s the cheapest at that moment for labor.

Iā€™m not 100% sure if everything else can be swapped from L15BA to L15B7 but hoping most of the stuff can be swapped over to new motor so I donā€™t have to buy parts as I go. People have done Si to hatch and stock ecu works great. Just hoping my port and polish head donā€™t throw me lean until itā€™s fully break-in.
